Organizing Your Computer
This Computer Lesson group helps you understand how to set up a ‘filing system’ for your saved documents and projects then carry out the plan by learning how to control where you save things on your computer. Tnen you will be able to find what you saved next time… every time!
First the plan behind this Computer Lesson group:
When saving documents and projects on your computer, you should have a filing system just like you might use to file and organize papers and important documents in a file cabinet in an office.
Your computer is the many-drawered file cabinet.
You should make files that are more general to begin with that will hold things of like-catagories, similar to the way each drawer of a file cabinet would be used. (maybe 2008, 2009)
Then inside each of the general files make more specific files that apply to that general category. (College Classes, Work, Living Expenses and Budget)
And Inside those files you can make files that are even more specific to file your papers and projects in. (Inside the College Classes file - have a World History file, a Computer Class file…)
Now that you know how a plan might look, you are ready for the specifics of this computer lesson which will help you carry out the plan, teaching you to control where you save things on your computer. In doing so, you will be able to keep it organized so you can find it next time…every time!
