| Inbox: Messages you receive from other people are stored here
Number in parenthesis: number of unopened messages
unopened messages: you haven’t clicked on that message, it has yet to be read
You may have many messages in your Inbox that have been read, only the number of unread are indicated by the number.
To Read messages: click on “Inbox”

After you have opened the message in your Inbox, you can delete the message, reply to the sender, forward it to a different person. The arrows allow you to see the message listed before or after the message you are veiwing. ______ |

Reply: Open a message sent to you, click Reply, it allows you to send a message back to the sender (it automatically fills in the address for you) |

| Reply all: If a message was sent to multiple addresses (yours included) and you want all those same people to receive your message…open the message, click Reply all |

Forward: Open the message, click Forward to send the same email on to another address (you need to type in the address) You can add to or change the message that was sent to you originally, before fowarding. |

Delete: Either click on the message line before the email is opened or the message can be deleted after or while it’s open. Just click on the message and click delete.
This puts it in a Trash folder that still holds all those deleted messages.

You can open the Trash folder and retrieve a messabe by dragging it to the Inbox or just reread deleted messages by clicking on them.

To permanently get rid of deleted messages from the trash folder, right click on the Trash folder, then click ‘empty folder’.
