Adding an attachment in a Google email is an easy way to share pictures or information with others. The trickest part of sending attachments is finding the location on your computer of the item you want to share. So, if you can find it…you can do it! If you’re not sure how to organize the things you save, check back with us and we’ll show you how to plan and control where you save things so you can find and have access to them every time! But for now, let’s start attacking attachments!
Attachments are like adding another piece of paper to your main letter.
An attachment can be almost anything: a word document, a photo, usually something you already have on your computer that you want to send to someone else.
computer lesson step
1. Start a new message by clicking ‘Compose Mail’.
Write a note if you’d like, possibly explaining the attachment.

3. You then must Browse to find what you want to attach.
Follow the path you set up when saving this document or photo.
Desktop, My Documents, My Pictures, the file the picture is in…
4. When you double click on the final destination (which is the photo, in this case) it makes the attachment, in this case the photo is attached to the email to be sent so the person who receives it, can now open the photo on their computer.
5.
You can see under the subject line that you have successfully learned to add an attachment to your message.
